Emerging STIs and a new era in cervical screening: Top tips and tools for GPs


This ALM will provide GPs with the skills and confidence to detect and manage prevalent and emergent STIs in general practice: Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoea and Mycoplasma genitalium and to confidently implement new or challenging components of the National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP).

Expert presenters will deliver engaging and relevant clinically focused sessions incorporating the latest research and evidence to update GPs on:


  • how to conduct optimal collection for a range of specimen types for screening or diagnostic testing
  • new developments in testing and management for common cervical screening and STI clinical presentations
  • when to order the co test and management of symptomatic women
  • how to access and implement the Self Collection Pathway; and
  • HPV vaccination now and in the future
